MATERIAL HANDLER
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Ensures that each machine is stocked with the correct material, packaging, inserts or boxes that the operator needs for that specific job
2. Physically fills material hoppers as needed and sets up materials for future jobs.
3. Moves product to and from the warehouse compiling the necessary paperwork and entering appropriate transactions into Syteline computer system.
4. Uses a company provided tablet to scan all material movements to and from production floor and from machine to machine.
5. Ensures that each box is labeled correctly.
6. Performs line clears and line starts by cleaning hopper loaders, dryers etc. and completing all documentation that is required to ensure the process is complete.
7. Removes trash from machine areas, breaks down boxes as needed and disposes of in appropriate dumpster.
8. Required to run molding machines to ensure coverage for breaks
9. Manage auto machines and ensure proper operation
10. Assist with monthly inventory preparation and counting
11. Performs daily maintenance of dryers and loaders
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of weight
2. Forklift experience is desirable
3. Must be able to communicate effectively
4. Must have the proven ability to work well with others
5. Must be able to work at a fast pace and adapt to frequent changes
6. Must pay attention to detail
7. Computer experience is desirable
8. Must have proven good attendance record
9. H.S. or technical school education, or equivalent, with strong mathematical ability
