Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, construction, and renewable energy systems. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems in both residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality solar solutions to our clients while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Install solar panels and related equipment on rooftops and ground mounts.
Conduct site assessments to determine optimal solar system configurations.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installations.
Perform electrical work including high voltage and low voltage connections.
Troubleshoot and repair solar energy systems as needed.
Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
Utilize hand tools, safely and effectively.
Collaborate with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding system operations.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a electrician or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, including high voltage, low voltage, and NEC standards.
Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical installations.
Familiarity with roofing techniques and safety protocols for working at heights.
Experience with fixture installation, plumbing, and general construction practices is preferred.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, safely.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
