Job Summary (THIS IS A FREEZER ENVIRONMENT)
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator (with Hi/Lo experience) to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with fellow team members.
Responsibilities
Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and clamp trucks, to move materials throughout the warehouse.
Perform order picking and staging of products for shipment.
Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies while operating equipment.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other mechanical equipment.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and inventory management.
Utilize a warehouse management system (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing orders.
Assist in loading and unloading trucks as necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Experience
Previous experience as a Forklift Operator (hi/lo) in a distribution center or similar environment is preferred.
Familiarity with various types of forklifts, including cranes, is advantageous.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Experience working with warehouse management systems is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
