Premiere Staffing Services, Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Yard Jockey with a valid CDL A license for our client based in Hatfield, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to grow with a reputable company and be a crucial part of a smooth logistics operation.
Position: Yard Jockey
Location: Hatfield, MA
Type: Second Shift: 4:45pm-3:15am
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate yard trucks to move trailers and containers within the yard
- Maintain organization in the yard, ensuring trailers are in the proper locations as directed by dispatch or yard manager
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Follow all safety protocols to protect self and coworkers
- Assist with loading/unloading as needed and perform basic yard maintenance
Requirements:
- Valid CDL A license
- Previous experience as a yard jockey or in a similar position preferred
- Strong understanding of yard operations and safety procedures
- Ability to perform basic physical tasks and be on your feet for extended periods
- Dependable and punctual with a strong commitment to job responsibilities
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, with the required overtime.
