DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES
Community Action Pioneer Valley, a non-profit multi-service agency serving 27,000 people a year in western Mass., announces a new and exciting opportunity to provide innovative leadership as Director of Facilities.
The Director of Facilities will oversee the overall management of agency facilities, and building safety throughout Franklin, Hampshire, and Western Hampden counties, including 11 Early Education and Care sites. This includes ongoing assessment, monitoring, reporting and planning, ensuring healthy and safe physical environments for very young children and their families, participants/clients, and staff in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines. This position reports to the Executive Director and supervises all Facilities staff.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in related field; 5 years supervisory and facilities management experience; experience with small to medium sized building renovations (including HVAC, electric, and plumbing systems); experience with bidding of capital projects; experience with short and long term planning and use of assessment; monitoring and reporting systems; working knowledge of local, state and federal building codes; be or become knowledgeable about EEC licensing requirements, Head Start/Early Head Start regulations, Davis Bacon and prevailing wage laws.
