BBBS of Franklin Co. is seeking a part-time Spanish-speaking Deerfield Academy (DA) Program Coordinator to join our energetic, inclusive and dedicated program team! This position offers $21 per hour, 20-25 hours per week, year-round employment in Greenfield, MA, flexible schedule, with the option of remote work for up to 50% of weekly hours after the training period. Friday night in-person program attendance from 4-9 pm during the school year required.

BBBSFC matches children wanting an older friend and supportive person in their lives with volunteers who want to be a mentor to youth. Our school-based Site programs train and support high school students in communication, service, mentorship and leadership while matching them one on one with a younger child for weekly activities and fun.

This position will recruit, assess, enroll, match and support DA student volunteers (15-18) and local youth (6-11) in 1:1 mentoring relationships. These matches meet every Friday night on the DA campus in Deerfield MA during the academic year for dinner and program activities. This position runs all Friday night programs as well as case manages up to 50 matches which includes family wrap-around support and child safety monitoring with parents/guardians.

A strong ability to communicate with and organize children, teen, and adult participants is a must, as are excellent assessment and crisis management skills. Friday night in-person program attendance from 4-9 pm during the school year is also a must, with the remaining weekly hours being flexible.

A successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

An associated degree is preferred but 5+ years of experience may be considered as a substitute for the right candidate

3+ years experience with program coordination and/or family support work

Highly organized with attention to detail and deadlines

Flexible with an open growth mindset

Fluent in English and Spanish

Excellent verbal written and in-person communication skills

Excellent rapport building skills with families of all backgrounds

Professional training, including trauma-informed care, JEDI, and child safety, is required. Must pass a full background check and possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
