Technician Summary
The Automotive Technician position requires your experience and technical expertise to diagnose drive-ability and electrical systems, while while working as part of a team utilizing your experience and skills in driving a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction.
Technician Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair to manufactures specifications.
Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
A.S.E. certification is a plus but NOT required in any of the A1-A8 certifications.
Maintains Federal, State and Local certification/license where applicable.
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
Reading, writing, and math skills.
Repair brake and steering systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
Replace or repair fuel components as needed.
Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling.
Perform emissions inspections, safety checks and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations.
Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
Possess a valid state driver’s license for conducting test drives.
Able to communicate clearly.
Work well as a team player.
Should have one of the following; A minimum 3 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third party certificates/assessment.
