Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Woburn, Massachusetts. The chosen candidate will join our team to oversee various accounting operations, such as accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, and monthly end close support. This role requires a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and an ability to work independently with excellent communication skills.Responsibilities: Manage and oversee accounts receivable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Handle all billing tasks, providing clear and detailed invoices to clients. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, financial modelling, and reporting. Conduct regular account reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies. Support the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Independently manage workload and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Utilize various software and systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for efficient account management. Ensure all financial records are maintained accurately and in compliance with company policies. Respond to and resolve any customer inquiries related to accounts and billing. Proactively monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Must have a strong understanding of the General Ledger and Journal Entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary Experience with month-end close process Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software is required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy in work A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
