If you have 10+ years of experience who are a cut above the rest, are great at what you do and love doing it and can work both as a team, sometimes as a leader and work independently we are interested in you! We are an agency who has been in business 25 years and we do private cases. You must be able to work in private homes without direct supervision while keeping the office apprised of what is happening with our clients. You must be punctual, reliable, competent, positive, proactive and really enjoy providing service to elders. When necessary, you should be willing to act as a lead if ever on a 24 hour case, this simply means you might be the 'go to' for the office in terms of making sure the house is running cohesively. you might be the one who schedules appointments, does the shopping or filling prescriptions.
We often get families who are with us for years so we have part time work which can often be a long term arrangement with one person or couple and sometimes, if interested, that work can turn to full time or more. Sometimes we are with people for 4,5 even 9 or 10 years. We want you to love and genuinely care for our clients.
We do not want to micromanage you, we hire people who can be trusted to be doing a great job independently and who know when they need to communicate potential issues or changes with our clients. We pay the bulk of what we charge to our caregivers and for that we have very low turnover and a solid team of long term employees. This means we do not have a staff of people to manage everyone, make sure people are on time and doing what they should be doing. If we have to do that then our overhead is higher and we can not pay the rates we pay.
We are built on mutual trust and high regard, without excellent caregivers we would not exist. People who understand that everyone has to hold up their end of the bargain in order to keep the success we have attained are who we are looking for. Once someone commits to a family we ask that the commitment be honored. We have a very very low rate of absenteeism and very low turnover. It is the fact that we ask our aides to develop solid relationships with clients and their families and we do not cycle through whomever happens to be available that day along with the fact that we do not miss shifts brings us a lot of good, word of mouth business.
In return for that commitment and dedication we try to set you up with nice cases, although not necessarily easy, we do not run you around to multiple clients in one day, we do not ask people to drive in snow storms.
