Windridge Tennis & Sports Camps, located in the Green Mountains of Vermont, is seeking an experienced, energetic Soccer Director to join our management team for the summer of 2019.
Windridge has a tradition of tennis, soccer and horseback riding and so much more for over 50 years. Windridge Tennis and Sports Camps stand unique in that we feature specialized sports programs within the framework of a traditional New England camp setting. Since 1968, children have come to Windridge from most of the fifty states and many foreign countries to share in the Windridge experience. Our campers make a commitment to hard work, good sportsmanship and wholesome fun and laughter. We offer 2- and 3-week co-ed sessions serving ages 7-15-year-olds. This is a seasonal position from June 10th - August 19th. Salary (based on experience), travel stipend, room and board all included. Families welcome.
Desired Qualifications:
Training and experience in soccer coaching; prefer past college experience and/or high school coaching experience
Coaching certification from national organization or college level coaching classes
Ability to teach soccer to campers and staff of all ages
Ability to supervise soccer program staff and make scheduling assignments
Ability to train staff in proper teaching techniques
Desire and ability to work with children outdoors
Ability to relate to people of a variety of ages
Ability to accept guidance and supervision
Good character, integrity, and adaptability
Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control
