We are looking for 1-2 people that will meld well with our existing team. Give us a call and let's talk about where and how you might fit in. We are looking to fill positions both at our Feedstore and at the nursery. We are open to someone splitting their time between both locations (which are in Mendon, MA).
The job will be physical and for the feedstore you will regularly be lifting and carrying 50# bags of grain, but there is a lot more to the job beyond loading customers vehicles.
Most of the plants at the nursery are lighter but the job is still a physically active one - requiring a lot of bending, lifting and carrying. We use a more environmentally friendly approach at the nursery, so it is labor intensive. What we are actively doing at the nursery changes with the seasons.
Having a passion for plants and/or animals is helpful, we will train and help you to learn about the specifics involved at either or both locations.
A tolerance for working outside even when the weather is not pleasant is a necessity. We try to find inside jobs when possible but ultimately the work must get done.
We do not work on Sundays. Work hours will be between 8 am and 5 pm Monday - Saturday. We will work with you to create a schedule that meets both of our needs. There is a seasonal fluctuation in hours for the nursery, but we are looking for someone year-round.
