New Horizons Senior Living is hiring a FULL TIME General Maintenance Technician!
We are seeking a maintenance technician for our large and complex retirement/assisted living community. Our campus consists of 400 apartments ranging from studios to two bedroom and two bathroom units. We also have vast common areas ranging from large dining rooms, lobbies, theaters, billiard rooms and a pool. We have multiple kitchens, mechanical rooms, and HVAC units. Desired applicant will be a self-starter with the ability to work alone or with a team.
General knowledge of mechanical systems to include:
HVAC - zone valves, filter changes, coil cleaning
Plumbing - sink faucet and faucet repair/installation, drain cleaning, toilet repairs
Electrical - switch and outlet replacement
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Ceiling tile replacement
Drywall repair and patching
Painting
Light carpentry
Door hardware repair and installation
Appliant installation with repair experience a plus
Other Job Requirements:
1-3 years of experience
Show shoveling or plowing - snow removal and surface treatment is done in house - 2A hoising license is a plus
Weekly on-call rotation Friday to Friday (once familiar with the property)
Additional Information:
We ask that you supply your own basic hand tools including a battery powered drill (all other power tools supplied by facility).
Valid driver's license.
Hoisting license is not required but is definitely a PLUS! We will sponsor you and give you a Pay Premium if you are successful.

Physical Requirements: To meet the ever-changing needs of our community, all staff must be capable of performing all manual labor tasks related to and associated with the responsibilities described above and herein. While a staff member may be hired for a particular position, all staff must be willing and able at all times to assist in other areas and positions. There are occasional, but infrequent, needs to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
Must be able to speak and comprehend English.
