Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in landscape maintenance, including mowing lawns, pruning shrubs, performing spring and fall clean-ups, and hardscaping projects. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires both technical expertise and the ability to lead a crew.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage a team of landscapers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging.
Oversee and participate in seasonal clean-ups, including spring and fall leaf removal and debris disposal.
Lead and execute hardscaping projects such as patio installation, retaining walls, and other stone or brickwork.
Maintain equipment and ensure proper use and safety procedures.
Ensure the crew follows all safety guidelines and procedures.
Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and ensure satisfaction.
Keep accurate records of crew activities, inventory, and time management.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Snow removal and landscaping, focusing on mowing, pruning, clean-ups, and hardscaping.
Must have a valid Driver’s License and DOT Card.
CDL Class A preferred.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a crew and foster a positive work environment.
Knowledge of landscaping equipment, tools, and techniques.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hardscaping (stonework, patios, retaining walls, etc.).
Basic knowledge of plant identification and care.
Experience with landscape design and planning.
