Position Summary:
The person in this position is required to perform maintenance related duties in order to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of assigned water or wastewater facilities.
Hiring Requirements/Preferences:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
Education or background in water and/or wastewater treatment or supporting technical field (Electrical/Plumbing/Mechanical).
5 to 7 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician preferred or 5 to 7 years in a regulated industry.
Relevant work experience including but not be limited to water/wastewater treatment plant troubleshooting, operation and maintenance, hazardous material handling, storage or containment.
Ability to read, interpret and utilize information found in blueprints, schematics, technical manuals diagrams and equipment specifications.
Basic knowledge of MA Water/Wastewater regulatory requirements.
Must be computer literate.
Must possess a valid unrestricted driver's license.
Must be able to pass background check, drug test, get an osha 10 and DOT
