Wrangler Job Description
The Wrangler position includes guiding customers on trail rides on horseback, as well as the care and handling of horses on the ranch during shift. Wranglers may also be responsible for performing a variety of ranch maintenance tasks, such as fence repair, equipment maintenance, and general groundskeeping. Fun, flexible schedule workin with animals and people!
Responsibilities:
Guide customers ages 10 and up on one- and two-hour trail rides.
Provide instruction on horsemanship skills.
Saddle and unsaddle horses before and after trail rides as needed.
Perform a variety of ranch maintenance tasks as needed, such as fence repair, equipment maintenance, and general groundskeeping i.e. picking up after the horses and raking the hitch.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
2-3 years of experience working with horses or other livestock is preferred, but willingness to learn may be equally important.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
