Patent Secretary - In-Office Position

Candidates for the position must have 1-2 years of law firm experience or the equivalent. Candidates need not possess prior patent law knowledge provided that they possess willingness to obtain on-the-job training and effectively apply such training. Recent or continuous job experience not required.

Responsibilities will include preparing patent documents for submission, preparing report letters, entering attorney time, maintaining files, supporting phones and email accounts, photocopying and scanning, filing and performing other general support tasks.

Candidates must have desktop user competency (MSWord, Outlook, Edge, Excel, etc.), good communication skills, and the ability to work quickly and accurately. Dependability/in-office attendance, initiative, attention to detail, communication and organization are important.

Compensation is based on experience. Benefits include health (with percentage to be covered by employer), dental, and participation in profit sharing plan if full time.
