Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Boiler Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of boiler systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. This role requires a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise. Hours are 12 hours rotating shifts 4 days on 3 days off. 6pm-6am. Time and half after 8 hours. Must have Massachusetts 3rd Class Engineers license.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor boiler systems to ensure safe and efficient performance.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on boilers and associated equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement necessary repairs or adjustments.
Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and safety checks.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations within the facility.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns related to boiler operations.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to boiler systems.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working in industrial environments.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Boiler Operator or in a similar role within industrial maintenance or HVAC/R fields.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand schematics and hydraulic systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications or licenses in boiler operation are preferred but not mandatory.
Willingness to undergo any required training or certification programs.
