Dental office/ Front desk

We are looking for a Dental Office Representative, Monday through Thursday 8am to 5:00pm) , to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in a family dental office. As a member of the front desk team, you will be one of the first points of contact for our company. To be successful, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. Salary dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.

Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.

Assisting patients to fill out information forms.

Preparing patients’ charts and daily schedules for the dental staff.

Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures.

Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing telephonic reminders.

Communicating with dental insurance providers to determine if patients are required to make co-payments.

Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.

Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, scanning, and faxing.

Processing payments upon the rendering of dental services.

Preparing and submitting claims for payment by health insurance.

Informing patients of any co-payments

Updating patients' personal and health insurance details, as needed.

Ensuring that patient information remains confidential. 1 year dental experience is required for this position

Proven work experience as a Front Office Representative or similar role in Dental office

Professional attitude and appearance

Solid written and verbal communication skills

Sound knowledge of a dental practice software and dental terminology

Excellent organizational skills

Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

Customer service attitude

High school degree or GED
