Delivery contractor for FedEx Ground in the Ann Arbor area has immediate full time positions available for qualified candidates due to growth. These positions are in some Ann Arbor areas, Saline, Clinton, and Manchester all day shift positions. The work week is Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday 11 months of the year. Six days a week through the holiday season. The positions are for full time work, part time employment could also be possible, These positions are not holiday additions for peak volume. Positions involves package delivery through the delivery area of parcels of various size and weights. Typical delivery days can average 50 to 105 deliveries and pick ups. This is a physically challenging job that requires maneuvering packages that weigh anywhere from .1 to 150 lbs. Employer understands these size difficulties and routinely uses additional assistance in difficult circumstances. Applicants must have 6 months+ driving experience in the last 3 years in a box truck, straight truck, step van or similar size vehicle. Other experience can qualify in smaller vehicles A chauffer's license is required for the position, but can be acquired during the screening process or when the DMV reopens. The applicant must also have a good driving record, be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Reliability is of upmost importance in this position. This job has a guaranteed base rate and additional weekly performance bonus that likely can significantly increase compensation.
