Job Responsibilities
Many of our EZ Mart stores provide hot and cold deli foods for our customers on the go. Providing great customer service means you will receive customers' food orders, and suggest other deli items. You will prepare the food while they wait and record food sales. You will maintain food safety standards by cleaning food prep equipment and areas and maintaining stock and storage areas. As a member of a store team, you will help with general store maintenance.
Requirements
Good communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service are the most important skills for this job. We will train you in our food preparation procedures and food safety standards. You must be able to operate microwave ovens, small conventional ovens and other food preparation equipment as well as follow specific recipes. Basic math skills are necessary to assist with inventory records. You must be able to work in a team environment. You should have a high school diploma or GED, but if you have related retail experience and a good work record we will still consider you for this job. You must be available to work your shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shift assignments are posted 5 days in advance. You must be able to stand, bend and reach during your shift, and occasionally to lift up to 50 pounds.
