With our incredible plans for the future of mobility, we have a wide variety of opportunities for you to accelerate your career potential as you help us define tomorrow’s transportation.This position provides an exciting opportunity to develop new / advanced tools supporting embedded software development, and strategic technology growth segments within the company (including electrification, autonomous vehicle controls, connected vehicle functions, and cyber security).What you'll be able to do:Responsible for the Development of Tools and Scripts for embedded Vehicle software development. Work within the DevOps tools team to provide solutions for a large Global Vehicle software development team – users based in U.S., U.K. Mexico, Brazil, India, China. Solutions are based in code stored in GitHub and deployed into Kubernetes on Linux containers. Some Windows Server development may also be involved. The infrastructure is migrating to the Enterprise Datacenter and External Hybrid Cloud with extensive resources available.Minimum requirements we seek:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
5+ years of software application design and support experience, DevOps a significant plus
1+ years demonstrated scripting background including Perl, Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Groovy
Our preferred qualifications:Solid understanding of Unix/Linux operating environments
Experience working with application development teams
Expertise with Kubernetes solutions - Redhat OpenShift a plus
Extensive scripting background with Groovy
Expertise in managing Jenkins for large organizations
Understanding of Performance analysis, scripting & monitoring tools ( Prometheus/Grafana )
Software development life cycle, and development methodologies and implementation
Experience with Source control using GitHub Enterprise
Web administration and development (HTML Java, Visual Studio)
Experience working with Ford Motor Company IT policies and procedures
