THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

Principal Expectations:
  • Mapping existing detection policies in an existing DLP platform
  • Authoring detection policies in new platforms to align with legacy policies
  • Document policy details and their coverage across endpoint, web, and email traffic, and different platforms
  • Assist with detection policy testing
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to integrate DLP systems and output with other solutions such as UBA, SIEM or data storage
  • Assist in development of business processes and policies related to controlling data egress
  • Tune and mature detection policies
  • Innovate new methods of detection.
  • Work with engineering teams to tune control systems to best meet needs of the business.
  • Troubleshoot policy issues
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in information security and DLP Policy Management
  • Ensure the program is aligned with and delivers against the regulations and expectations of regulator and internal guidelines

Mandatory Skills:
  • Experience with security products from one or more of the following vendors: McAfee, Symantec, Palo Alto Networks, Juniper Networks, Bluecoat
  • Specific experience with the deployment, maintenance and/or operations of a major DLP solution such as: Symantec, McAfee, Digital Guardian, or Forcepoint
  • A degree in computer science or a related field and 2+ years of experience. Additional years of experience in DLP administration or information security will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Outstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience or familiarity with project management processes
  • Great communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to interact with personnel at all levels across the organization and to comprehend business imperatives
  • One or more active vendor or industry certification(s) relevant to system administration or information security preferred
  • Experience with a CASB solution preferred
  • Strong understanding of Windows, Linux and Unix operating systems and servers preferred
  • Experience with a major endpoint-security products preferred
  • Must be self-motivated, willing to take on initiative, and capable of working independently.
