Job Description: Summary: The main function of a supervisor/manager - production is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers to achieve daily production KPI's in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale (Attendance). Job Responsibilities: - Maintains time and production records. - Keeps management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems. - Interprets company policy to workers and enforces safety and environmental regulations while complying with terms of contractual labor agreement. - Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product while operating within assigned budget. - Works together with team members and supporting groups to develop operator standard work instructions. Ensures standard work is followed. - Maintain quality standards and cost efficiency. Responds to customer concerns. - Participate in the selection, training, and corrective action of employees within the production unit.
Skills: - Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills. - Ability to work independently and manage one's time. - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. - Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models. - Kronos system knowledge (preferable)
