We are now hiring two experienced property managers/leasing agents for an apartment community in Niles. Workload will include responding to calls & emails remotely through the week as well as spending 4-8 hours onsite each week.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Leasing:
Hold two scheduled open houses each week (1 weekday, 1 Saturday- can rotate weekends)
Lead property tours and explain our rental policies
Take applications, pre-screen applicants onsite
Renew leases or arrange move outs at the end of lease term
Track upcoming availability & communicate marketing needs
Property Management:
Respond to tenant inquiries in a timely manner
Coordinate with onsite maintenance to ensure repairs are being addressed properly
Ensure rent is collected ontime
Post 7 day notices & chase overdue rent/late fees
Keep tenant files up to date - including excel files & online property management software
Be strict with tenants and enforce house rules & rental policies
You will be working with new management - there will be some growing pains & tenant turnover in the transition. We are seeking experienced managers that will not have a problem being stern with old tenants adjusting to new policies/procedures. We are taking over a "mom & pop" type apartment complex and anticipate some adjustment concerns.
Compensation:
Hourly pay DOE
1099, no benefits
