Dynamic and growing, family owned machine shop has the following IMMEDIATE opening:
Quality Inspector - Full-time, 1st shift
Description of responsibilities
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished products
Perform calibrations and accurately document the results of the calibration
Provide input for inspection methods and improvements related to the job
Assist quality and engineering in investigations of process related quality issues
Write Non-Conformance Reports when required and be knowledgeable of the process for managing
discrepant products or materials
Maintain information systems: Complete accurate records for continuous improvement and file records accordingly
Organize work and storage areas for efficient work flow and showcase the quality of work in the lab
Adhere to the policies and guidelines set forth in the company hand book and safety manual
Other related activities as assigned
Qualifications for Entry:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Candidate should have an understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and of ISO 9001:2015
Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
Candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Office 365, Word and Excel
Ability to stand, walk and carry out normal activities and have the ability to lift 40 lbs
