DescriptionA well-known company is currently looking for a Payroll Clerk who is excited about filling a challenging position. Accountemps has a position available for a Payroll Clerk to join the dynamic team at one of our clients. This position will require a variety of duties such as data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. To be an effective part of this dynamic, fast-growing team, a candidate will need to communicate effectively with both internal team members and outside customers. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Saint Paul, Minnesota area and is a long-term temporary employment role.Your responsibilities
Make sure data entered into spreadsheets and the payroll system is accurate
Be the main point of instruction/training contact to employees regarding payroll-related best practices
Build and run custom reports
Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Compile a system of administering and distributing reports

Detailed and have the ability work independently
Outstanding data entry skills
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
Skillful in learning new processes and systems
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
Numeric data entry experience
Deep understanding of data entry
Experience with 10 Key Skills
Prior Payroll software experience preferred
