StratX IT Solutions is looking for a full-time, NOC Technician to work in our St. Cloud, MN office. They will work on the StratX Control Center and ticketing system to monitor client infrastructure, diagnose and resolve issues, as well as identify recurring issues and work directly with the Research and Development team to implement self-healing automation to provide higher levels of uptime and increase operation efficiency. The NOC Technician is a highly proactive and reliable person capable of working independently and as part of a team, completing and escalating incidents as needed. The hours for this position are 7AM - 4PM CT Monday through Friday.

The NOC Technician must:

Demonstrate level 1-2 Server and Desktop problem solving skills.

Strong communication and troubleshooting skills: experience with diagnosing, repairing and explaining a variety of IT issues verbally and written.

Drive to get the job done and make the client happy.

Work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Our technicians work on a variety of issues every day. It is important that they have experience troubleshooting and repairing issues with the following:

Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS & DHCP

Microsoft Exchange Server

Desktop applications, including MS Office, QuickBooks, VPN access, Adobe, etc.

Microsoft Office 365 and other hosted email solutions

Backup software and virus removal

Peripheral devices, including network printers, scanners, monitors & UPS devices

Wireless controllers and access points, routers, firewalls and network switches

Tablets and mobile devices

The day-to-day monitoring and infrastructure diagnostics include:

Resolving critical issues in a time-sensitive manner.

Critical attention to detail and solid creative problem solving skills.

Ability to develop intermediate root cause analysis.

Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.

Determining when issues are urgent and need to be escalated in a team environment.

Creating, updating and following policies and procedures in a consistent manner.

Prioritizing work and handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, diverse and growth-oriented environment.
