We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in maintenance and repair. This role is essential for ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and functional, providing a safe and comfortable environment for all.
Responsibilities
Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks across various facilities, including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
Utilize tools and equipment effectively, including an ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics.
Conduct routine inspections of premises to identify issues or needed repairs.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects efficiently.
Document completed work and report any significant issues to management.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of maintenance processes and techniques.
Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
General knowledge of appliances and experience repairing them.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy objects, and the ability to work outside in the heat and cold.
