The Self Storage Manager oversees the daily operations of a self-storage facility, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient operations, and high occupancy levels. The manager is responsible for property maintenance, leasing, and financial performance.
Qualifications
2+ years of customer-facing employment experience.
1+ year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
Proficiency with computer systems and willing to learn property management software
Good customer service skills and attention to detail
Strong sales, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to answer the phone throughout the day
Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. and walking the facility.
Current, valid driver’s license with access to a reliable personal vehicle
High school diploma or GED equivalent required (Associate’s degree preferred).

Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of 2 storage facility sites.
Develop customer relationships by identifying their storage needs and providing solutions.
Answering phone calls and emails for potential tenants and responding to questions about rental rates and the facility
Promote facility features, benefits, and specials to maximize occupancy as well as implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants
Guide new customers through rental processes and agreements, collect monthly rents, manage delinquencies, and enforce policies.
Maintain accurate records for leases, payments, customer accounts, and inventory.
Handle cash and balance receipts, pursue collections, post payments, and process daily bank deposits.
Use computer software to generate daily financial reporting, record keeping and month end audits
Ensure the facility meets the highest cleanliness, organization, and safety standards through general maintenance duties.
Perform routine inspections of units, common areas, and grounds and coordinate or perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
Run errands for the facility and travel to other store locations
Handle customer complaints or disputes professionally and efficiently
