Job Responsibilities May Include:
Be able to pass the following tests without training: blueprint, flux core and stick, Stick and Flux pipe 6 schedule 80 pipe (6G position), 6010 root pass, 7018 out, 6 schedule 80 pipe, FLUX STICK Cut (4) 3/8 thick stips 90° apart out of pipe, and more.
All bends must pass the Instructors visual test before going to ABS for final inspeciton.
Knowledge of welding techniques (oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, and TIG), tools and equipment.
Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and instruments associated with the trade.
Have experience with various metals such as CUNI as SYNCHROWAVE 250 and POWCON ST-300.
Be able to weld with the use of a mag-base mirror for TIG and stick.
Job Requirements Include:
Must have 5 years of experience welding pipe in a shipyard environment.
Technical training preferred.
