Solutions include projects, products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services. The Principal Security Architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis, and design tasks pertaining to IT Security (esp. Cloud Security, Application Security and related risk management practices), to support the development of solutions and ensure solutions meet business needs aligned with IT Security architecture governance and standards. This position creates deliverables for managing the “to be” and “as is” architecture intent for the IT Security domain.Responsibilities
Research and provide information related to the adoption of emerging technology trends, disruptions, and practices relevant to IT Security
Engage key stakeholders to identify business and technology-enabled innovation opportunities that enable and drive business outcomes
Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and document all architecture design and analysis work
Develop solution and architecture deliverables to guide and contextualize solution development across products, services, projects, and systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information)
Participate in development and application of principles, standards, and patterns through the architecture assurance and governance model
Develop, maintain, and evolve the architecture and solution context (current state, transition state, and future state) for assigned area with an IT Security focus
Act as a consultant on a broad range of architectures, technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes
Analyze and monitor the environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and recommend solutions for improvement
Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software and technology product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
8 years of related work experience in Business Analysis, System Design and Development, Systems Engineering, or technical architecture; to include 3 years direct experience working within an Architect role
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
Experience identifying and applying design and architecture patterns in solutions
Ability to communicate and present effectively with business and IT stakeholders to gain consensus
Ability to define, plan and initiate architecture with an IT Security focus for the assigned area and scope
Demonstrate wide understanding of the IT Security domain, including a deep understanding of cloud security, application security and risk management, with the ability to apply practical and pragmatic solutions
Self-learner and ability to work independently
Experience handling a variety of solution types, such as new system builds, legacy enhancements, implementing commercial-off-the-shelf packages and integrating with Cloud solutions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA and/or PCI)
Previous experience in PBM / health care industry
Previous experience working on Cloud architecture and Cloud Security for GCP, AWS or Azure
Previous experience working with development or product teams on Application Security practices
Previous experience working an in Agile/Product Delivery model
Experience with software development life cycle and project management principles
