As a Team Manager, you're responsible for building and maintaining exceptional real estate teams. You will act as the sole deal writing agent in this new market, giving Redfin it's wings.ÂESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:Manage a team of Lead Agents (in future as Market grows) which could include, but is not limited to the following usually accounting for 30% of the role:Provide real estate guidance and business expertise as neededResponsible for onboarding and training new team members on contracts and local business market characteristics and determine when the employee is ready to accept customersPerform regular meetings with individuals and team; shadow team members on the job to ensure best practices are being used, provide real-time troubleshooting for customer-related issues as neededManage teams performance by using data and metrics to spot trends, weaknesses and strengths among your team; combine data/metrics with what you learn shadowing your team to identify/address issues and best practices; reinforce and hold your teams accountable to Redfin's current service offering;identify performance issues, initiate and conduct performance improvement plans and reviews in conjunction with guidance from HR and ManagerComplete real estate transactions as the primary Agent on the deal which could include, but is not limited to the following usually accounting for 70% of the role. Lead and manage pre-mutual activities including, but not limited to strategy sessions, pre-inspections, tours, and various ad hoc appointments. ÂProactively manage the client relationship, providing verbal and written communication regarding home purchasing strategies, writing offers, negotiating terms.ÂResponsible for post mutual deal management, including, but not limited to, inspections, negotiations, closing appointments, working with vendors (title, escrow, lender), and key exchange.Engage in active client outreach and procurement through referrals, follow up on inactive clients, etc.Perform administrative tasks and duties as needed to ensure all systems and deal tracking is completed in addition to attending team meetings, meetings with managers, training, and mentoring meetings.Internal: Frequent contact with Redfin employees including trainers, other department coordinators, managers, and local market leaders.External: Regular contact with customers, clients, and other vendors in the Real Estate industry.Supervision of Others: Has direct supervision of employees.Travel Required: You will need to have access to a vehicle to attend client appointments and tours. Additional travel may be required.Managing Broker's License Required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:Knowledge of Real Estate transactionsProven ability to guide clients through a Real Estate purchaseFamiliarity with technology including email, computers, and smartphones; not afraid to jump in and learn a new system, able to learn and adopt new technology practicesExcellent communication skills, written and oralAbility to interact and build relationships with all levels of management, associates, industry peers, direct reports, and clientsExperience in leading and developing a teamFamiliarity with using metrics and data to assess performanceAbility to multitask, prioritize, and manage time appropriatelyExcellent problem solving skillsAll Team Managers are required to maintain an active license and memberships with board and MLS affiliated with Redfin as required by your state.Work is typically performed in different environments. ÂIn the field, the Team Manager may encounter extreme weather, uneven walking surfaces, and other unforeseen environmental and noise conditions. ÂIn the office, work is normally performed in climate controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. ÂNoise level is moderate and includes sounds of a normal office environment. ÂNo environmental hazards are encountered in performance of normal job duties.Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at moderate skill level. Â Work may require occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying 20-pound objects such as files, documents, signs, and computer print-outs. ÂWork involves standing and walking for many appointments, but may involve sitting when not attending appointments.
