Weir ESCOs Sr. Production Planner at the Newton foundry plans manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation to meet product completion dates according to demand signals. Analyzes plant capacity and production requisition data to determine applicable manufacturing processes and required resources and prepares, communicates, and distributes high level production reports.
Success in this role requires being self-motivated, able to work independently under minimal supervision, and organized with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Job Duties:
Act as a liaison between the division supply chain team and Newton manufacturing team to create and communicate daily production plans
Relay any daily issues with the division-based team as necessary and partners to eliminate issues that may impact customer service
Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes and requirements (ex., No Bake overload, etc.)
Facilitate problem resolutions cross-functionally related to production planning and given production targets
Cross-train in other positions; help train other members in the department to grow skillsets; develop team members
Lead special project work as assigned
Partner with leadership to mentor others on process management, continuous improvement and assist to create, standardize, and improve processes
Qualifications:
High School diploma (or equivalent); prefer some post-secondary education
Five+ years experience in a Planner role
Willing and able to travel up to 5% domestically, if needed
Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States
