Supervisor Respiratory Care

OverviewSt. Luke’s Health System in Meridian s seeking a Supervisor Respiratory Care to join our team.The Supervisor Respiratory Care supervises and coordinates the activities of the personnel in the respiratory department.

Plans and coordinates the daily work activities of respiratory therapists in accordance with hospital policies and directives of medical staff.

Initiate assessment based on the patient's presenting problems or needs and the physician's medical diagnosis.

Perform basic therapeutic interventions.

Evaluates new equipment and procedures.

Has knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, the standards of appropriate regulatory bodies and uses knowledge for program development.

Guides objectives of, and participate in, performance improvement activities for respiratory cares services

May develop, monitor and work within established budgets.

Performs staff appraisals and corrective actions.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirments:

Education: Bachelor degree in Respiratory Therapy or experience in lieu of degree

Experience: 3 years relevant experience

License: Valid license to practice respiratory therapy in state of practice

Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials by National Board for Respiratory Care Current CPR Healthcare Provider certification
