AECOM is seeking a Entry Level Roadway Engineer to be based in Jackson, Mississippi with the office located in Ridgeland, MS.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Assist in the design and development of roadway, highway, and transportation infrastructure projects throughout Mississippi under the guidance of experienced engineers.Prepare engineering calculations, construction plans, specifications, estimates,  and technical reports for transportation projects.Develop roadway alignments, profiles, cross-sections, intersections, and drainage layouts using industry-standard design software.Support the collection, review, and analysis of survey, traffic, utility, and engineering data.Utilize Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD), MicroStation, and related software to develop roadway design solutions.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, technicians, and other disciplines to deliver transportation projects that meet client and regulatory requirements.Assist with quality control reviews of engineering drawings and design documents.Learn and apply Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) design criteria, standards, and specifications.Support project delivery by helping maintain schedules, budgets, and project documentation.Participate in field visits, site assessments, and project meetings as needed.
