SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER (ERDC-21-1720-F):

Bowhead seeks a Software Test Engineer to join our team in Vicksburg, MS in support of the Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) contract. The Software Test Engineer will define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components. The Software Test Engineer may also investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.

Other essential duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Provides technical support and advice to other engineering groups.
• Guides and directs lower level personnel on the set-up and performance of tests.
• Acts as liaison with outside suppliers in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items.
• Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors.
• Participates in the development, maintenance and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs.

This position will require travel-an estimated four (4) trips at five (5) days each for a total of twenty (20) days. Locations may include, but are not limited to, Washington, DC; Huntsville, AL and Fort Worth, TX. This also provides the opportunity to work fully remote.

Requirements

• BA/S in relevant technical field is highly preferred PLUS three (3+) years of professional experience.
• Must have demonstrable experience with automated testing tools (Selenium Web Driver, Cucumber, Protractor, Test Cafe, etc.).
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Public Trust clearance at this location.
