Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced, Test & Evaluation Flight Simulation Lab Technician to join the Flight Simulation Labs located in Berkeley, MO .This position is part of the Flight Simulation Labs Operations team and the applicant will be working in a fast pace environment supporting Flight Simulation hardware requiring technical skills in both electronic hardware development and trouble shooting. In this role you will be supporting repairs and modifications to Boeing manufactured Lab equipment and Simulators.Position Responsibilities:
Installing and maintaining Flight Simulation equipment consisting of computers, monitors, audio systems, visual systems, crew stations and rack equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve electronic hardware issues with minimum down time
Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, and methodologies
Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews
Troubleshoot and resolve electronic hardware issues with minimum down time
Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs
Coaches and trains others
Works under general direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years’ experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematics
3+ years’ experience working with electronics and/or mechanical systems in design fabrication and test
3 + years’ experience with visual imagery and display systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
3+ years’ experience with electronic hardware testing and troubleshooting
Experience in Method of analog to digital and digital to analog Video Conversion
Knowledge of Digital and analog video distribution
3+ years’ experience performing soldering and electronics repair to the component level
Experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses; or any variety of electrical components, and associated equipment
3+ years’ experience working with Avionic/Flight Simulation equipment
3+ years’ experience in the field of simulation, electronics, or avionics, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or aircraft maintenance
J-STD-001 solder certification
Knowledge of Oscope Operations
Experience working in an Engineering Lab environment and/or comparable Military experience
Experience with installation / maintenance of Video Display Walls or Mulit Display systems
Ability to disassemble/modify monitors & projectors
