Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Experienced/Lead Analysis, Integration and Test (AIT) Engineer to join our F/A-18E/F and E/A-18G Mission Systems team in Berkeley, MO.This individual will be responsible for the integration of new and upgraded subsystems within the weapon system’s avionics suite enabling new and improved future capabilities in the Super Hornet and Growler fleet.In addition to system design and test, this individual will coordinate schedule and technical issues with internal stakeholders and external customers. This also includes helping to mentor and lead a team of entry level integration engineers.Applicants must have the ability and desire to thrive in a fluid environment where you will help shape the path to success. Experience with military avionics technology is crucial.Position Responsibilities:
Works with internal stakeholders and external customers to coordinate execution of ongoing hardware-software integration efforts in a fast-paced Agile environment, often with changing requirements
Responsible for communication across teams as well as multiple engineering disciplines and program leadership
Receives customer requests and analyzes them with consideration for contractual and technical impacts and translates into actionable requirements
Monitors internal and external supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
Provides support and solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
Provides technical leadership and guides on-the-job training for entry level engineers
Reinforces a culture of proactive technical oversight, risk management and rapid issue resolution, providing alternative paths for issue resolution and an open dialogue on technical issues
Supports productivity improvements through the use of Lean principles as well as sharing best practices and lessons learned
Understands and works with F/A-18 functional counterparts (software and hardware teams, SEIT, BGS) to ensure handoffs are clearly defined to deliver products that meet requirements and are delivered on schedule and within cost
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience with military avionics technology
5+ years of experience leading or managing projects or teams with a Bachelor’s OR 3+ years with a Masters
Experience in translating Customer requirements to System requirements or System requirements to Subsystem requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience in developing or integrating Mission Systems for military aircraft
Experience with electronic system design, code and test
Experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases
Experience with an OMS implementation
Experience with Multi-Level Security (MLS) implementation
Experience using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) process
Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence
Completed security clearance background investigation within the past 5 years
