The Strategic Pricing Manager aligns worldwide pricing strategies with growth objectives, supporting customer loyalty and attracting new customers. This role oversees pricing across diverse markets, working closely with key stakeholders. Responsibilities include refining pricing and revenue models, enhancing customer profitability, and further developing Value-Based and Lifecycle Pricing strategies. Additionally, the role focuses on strengthening Pricing Governance to ensure consistency and alignment with global standards.The pricing team operates on a global scale with team members located in Loveland, Düsseldorf, and Berlin.The position may require up to 10% travel to support global initiatives and collaborate with regional teams.In this role, a typical day will look like:

Establish and sustain Standard Work for price setting (price building) in collaboration with Product Managers, Regional Marketing Managers, Sales, and Finance Leaders, considering critical parameters such as cost, customer value, competitive advantage, and product lifecycle.

Collaborate with local Sales Leaders to identify price optimization opportunities due to specific local market conditions for certain product ranges.

Lead the further development of Value-Based Pricing strategies that ensure our prices continue to reflect the perceived value by customers in each market segment.

Advance Lifecycle Pricing strategies to ensure optimal pricing at each stage of the product lifecycle, maximizing revenue and margin growth.

Strengthen Pricing Governance policies to ensure continued consistency and compliance with global pricing standards across all markets.

Lead the process of establishing price/discount guidelines based on market segmentation to optimize revenue and margin growth.

Develop and monitor promotion, rebate, and discount effectiveness to ensure these programs contribute positively to overall profitability.

The essential requirements of the job include:

BS or BA in Business, Consulting, Economics, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s Degree or MBA is preferred.

Minimum of 10 years experience in pricing and consulting, with proven experience in pricing strategy, revenue management, or related functions within a top-tier consulting firm. Demonstrated ability to translate strategic insights into actionable pricing recommendations for B2B clients.

Ability to effectively convey complex pricing concepts and influence senior stakeholders.

Significant experience in pricing management within a B2B environment, with a strong track record of developing and implementing pricing strategies that drive profitable growth.

Experience working in a global or matrixed organization, with the ability to manage pricing strategies across diverse markets and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across regions.

Deep proficiency in pricing tools such as Vendavo, PROS, priceFX, Zilliant, Oracle Pricing or similar platforms. Ability to leverage these tools to develop and execute sophisticated pricing models.

Extensive experience with Business Intelligence tools, data analysis, and reporting software to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.

Demonstrated experience working with CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce.com, to align pricing strategies with customer relationship management and sales processes.
