The Program Liaison will be responsible for satisfying reporting requirements for specific projects, as well as supporting both internal and external organizational processes and deadline-driven data flows. See http://www.montana.edu/miltech/ for further information.Duties and Responsibilities The Program Liaison will liaise with MilTech’s team and military customers to satisfy project and customer requirements, including but not limited to the following:

Act as primary resource for general project operational inquiries and information, and as reporting liaison for specific MilTech projects with military customers, ensuring proper reporting and scheduling of activities, metrics and results to the DOD customer and others are completed as required.

Proactively maintain and organize metrics, project status reports and action items, project documents, contract vehicles, and other relevant data.

Communicate project activities, due-dates, and budget status, and provide monthly reports back to the Team Lead for submission to the customer.

Organize and deliver reports and briefings as needed to support project objectives.

Effectively communicate project status and requirements to key stakeholders as required by MilTech Engineering and Project Management teams.

Assist in managing project schedule(s), including tracking action items and due-outs, coordinating with the MilTech Engineers, and other government and civilian partners.

Coordinate with MilTech, MSU , and external personnel to track the procurement of necessary supplies, goods, and services in accordance with applicable State and Federal guidelines to ensure successful execution of MilTech projects.

Assist with establishing and maintaining organizational structures to continually improve project data management, processing, and communication across MilTech teams, government customers, and external vendors.

Positively represent the MilTech program, capabilities, and industry relationships.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Demonstrated prior project experience coordinating internal and external resources to meet operational and customer needs. Experience should include working with a high degree of attention to project details and deadlines.

Demonstrated experience effectively using clear and concise written and verbal communication. This includes using accurate language, organizing thoughts logically, and tailoring communications accordingly to the needs and perspectives of the recipients.

Demonstrated applicable experience using computer applications to generate formal business communication and reports for multiple stakeholders; creating and maintaining spreadsheets with complex data; developing PowerPoint or similar presentations for internal and external customers, and experience with using electronic filing and recordkeeping systems.

Bachelor’s degree related to business operations or other relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Prior project experience with establishing internal and external data flow processes and maintaining project archives and data logs in support of project objectives.

Prior experience maintaining, organizing, and reporting project data and communication of relevant information to internal and external sources.

Prior experience developing and submitting reports and proposals.

Prior experience working with remote groups and virtual meeting tools.

Possess excellent listening and communication skills (written and verbal).

Position Special Requirements/Additional Information

This position is contingent upon continued grant funding, and will work remotely, based within 3 hours of the greater Washington DC area by car. A remote work location must be agreed upon, depending on location suitability to meet mission requirements, and other factors.

This position requires ability to travel via all modes of transport to meet project needs.

Successful candidate must be able to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws, which may require proof that candidate is a U.S. person. Per 22 CFR §120.15, U.S. person means a person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

This position requires the ability to meet government-defined restrictions appropriate for work level and access. Security-related requirements will include receiving favorable background checks by state and federal agencies pursuant to federal law and regulations.
