The purpose of this position is to manage the PATH program. PATH program
Submitting FFAR reports
Managing contractor contracts, hour logs, and payments
Assisting with grant writing
Organizing files/folders
Recruiting, assigning, training, and time tracking of members
Conducting annual member and collaborator review survey; Senegal trip survey
Conducting program outreach
SARE program
Assisting with preparing and submitting the annual and final reports
Creating media content and post/share with stakeholder groups for recruitment and announcing project activities and presentations
Arranging the annual Producer Advisory and Student Advisory board meetings
Setting up and paying honoraria to the Advisory Board
Sharing the project progress; receiving and documenting feedback from Producer Advisory and Student Advisory Board members, twice a year
Attending the monthly project meetings (1 h), including the annual Advisory Board meetings (1 h) to update progress and provide feedback (12 h/yr)
Operational ExcellenceLeading the effort to improve overall program and lab operations, including—but not limited to—the following:
Sourcing funds and professional facilitators/training for:
strategic planning
program business planning
research funding planning
project management
teambuilding/improved communications
leadership development
Identifying protocol needs/improvements and working with respective team members on developing protocols; using SharePoint sites to share protocols with employees/students
Conducting student/staff satisfaction surveys and share results with Lab Director; develop strategies for addressing issues
Working with team members on organizing the shared file document library; train lab members on file organization system
Grant searching/writing for professional development/system improvement/training
Exploring improved systems for tracking employee hours
Employee onboarding, training/training record-keeping
Working with industry projects staff to develop service plan
Instigating annual staff and bi-annual student reviews
Supporting program managers in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, identify more effective procedures
Supporting writing manuscripts about academic system improvement/team building
Media and Outreach Management
Website: Perform regular assessment of visit statistics; optimize content for search engines; ensure ADA accessibility; make regular updates
Social media: Develop social media strategy with team and contribute to postings
Promotions: Prepare and post/circulate media for events, courses, and sensory tests
Mailing list management: Manage recruitment and follow-up for sensory evaluations
Graphic design, publication formatting and editing: Assist Lab Director and members with editing and graphic design for digital publications and communications
ADA accessibility: Work with students to help make their digital publications ADA accessible, develop training and resources for lab members on this topic
Administrative Support
Assist students and admin team with writing/editing publications, grant applications, and award nominations
Attend relevant meetings and trainings
Assist with training new staff and students
Assist with other tasks as requested
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Master’s degree in the sciences.
Two years of program and project management experience.
Two years of grant writing experience.
Two years of social media and website management experience.
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments and exercise adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in groups and independently.
Demonstrated experience in following an organization’s procedures and policies.
Demonstrated effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Five years of program and project management experience
Five years of grant writing experience.
Demonstrated experience in business/strategic planning
Demonstrated experience in operations/systems improvements
