Directly supervises employees in the Engineering department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problemsAs an Engineering Manager, you will:Directs workers engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildingsRequisitions tools, equipment, and suppliesInspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standardsStudies production schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements for completion of job assignmentsInterprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of work crew.Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problemsInitiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goalsMaintains time and production recordsConfers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departmentsTo perform this job successfully, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
