We, at Leggett and Platt Inc., are searching for a Manufacturing Technician (Controls Technician) within our Engineering team to help support our business. As Manufacturing Technician (Controls Technician),you will have the opportunity to maintain and enhance production machinery both mechanically and controls systems, such as PLC programming, visions systems, or servo motor controls. The team you will be working with is collaborative, and values supporting each other to grow their skills.So what will you be doing as a Manufacturing Technician (Controls Technician)?
Ensure safety practices are executed, including use of protective equipment as required.
Allen Bradly PLC troubleshooting and programming capability.
System integration development, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Robot programming, mainly Fanuc.
Equipment controls systems, troubleshooting and improvements.
Mechanical work associated with robot end of arm tooling.
Vision system programming, troubleshooting and repair.
Programming and control system improvements to reduce cycle time.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
Previous experience in similar position
PLC, Robotics, Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Able to use measuring tools.
Have mechanical skills and ability.
Have electronic and electromechanical skills and ability.
Have drafting skills and be able to read blueprints.
Have computer skills in Word and Excel.
Leadership skills (is a plus)
Working schedule: 4x10 days (Monday to Thursday)
