Accounts Payable ManagerChesterfield, MOHybrid Work ScheduleDescription:Position Overview: The Accounts Payable Support Manager is a contract position to assist the Global Business Services - Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and manage the accounts payable function during Project Omega. This role will assist the Accounts Payable Manager to lead a team of professionals to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions. The Accounts Payable Support Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining strong vendor relationships, compliance with financial policies and procedures, testing and other project support responsibilities during Project Omega.Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Team Leadership:

· Assist in leading and managing the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and support.· Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a collaborative work environment.

Invoice and Payment Processing:

· Oversee the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices.· Ensure proper coding and approval of invoices in accordance with company policies.· Resolve discrepancies and issues related to invoices.· Coordinate the payment process, including check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.· Ensure compliance with payment terms and take advantage of prompt payment discounts when applicable.

Vendor Management:

· Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with vendors.· Address and resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies.· Negotiate payment terms and agreements with vendors.

Financial Controls and Compliance:

· Implement and enforce accounts payable policies and procedures.· Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.· Participate in internal and external audits related to accounts payable.

Reporting:

· Generate and analyze accounts payable reports for management.· Provide regular updates on key performance indicators and metrics.

Process Improvement and Collaboration:

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.· Streamline accounts payable processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.· Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to ensure seamless workflow.· Work closely with the accounting team to reconcile accounts and provide necessary information for financial reporting.· Support Project Omega as needed, including testing, data validation and other project support responsibilities.Skills:Accounts payable, procure to pay, sap, way matchTop Skills Details:Accounts payable, procure to pay, sap, way matchAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Qualifications and Skills:Must have skillset -SAP experience, MS office, ERP systems (SAP)Full cycle AP – understanding end to end cycle procure to pay (payment terms)Experience in accounts payable. Having 3-way match. Importance of vendor master dateGlobal AP experience is a plus. Experience with global procurement to pay, third party provider.Must have at least 10 years of experience in Accounts Payable Manager experience· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.· Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.· Excellent leadership and people skills.· Proficient in using SAP and MS Office applications.· Proficient in Readsoft and Concur preferred.· Experience in SAP implementations or upgrades is preferred.· Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a challenging environment.About Aston Carter: Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
