Kelly IT has an opening for a Perm Manager, Information Technology, (Quality Engineering ) with my client in St. Louis, MOSUMMARY
This position is a first level engineering technical management position that leads a staff of Quality Engineers, and other qualified individuals responsible for the overall quality of products.
Focusing on building an engineering practice to support delivering quality products to our customers.
Directly leads employees and performs other managerial responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching; career development; appraising performance
Develops and maintains strong customer and partner (internal and external) interfaces
Assures individual project accomplishments and overall work unit effectiveness are achieved relative to committed objectives
Creates vision and strategy and leads work unit to achieve optimum quality assurance systems and processes for products supported aligned with customer expectations
Champions initiatives to develop, improve, and resolve issues with critical processes and technologies
Encourages and facilitates internal and external teamwork and promotes customer service
Implements business practices, metrics, and procedures to assure total quality of the products and services provided by the work unit
Provides project management oversight to achieve quality, delivery, cost objectives
Creates vision and strategy to achieve innovations and technological advances that improve quality, reduce flow-time, improve productivity, and enhance operations
SKILLS REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of related IT experience.
Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff. Health care experience a plus
Experience in an Agile environment
Demonstrated management, leadership, coaching, and teaming skills
Experience managing a staff of technical personnel a plus in a cloud environment
Knowledge of quality system requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to partner with customers for mutual benefit
Ability to positively influence others, create a passion for excellence, and execute multiple projects while meeting high customer expectations
