Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the field of law, based in CLAYTON, Missouri, United States. We are seeking a senior attorney to join our team, focusing on business litigation. This role is in a setting where the selected candidate will manage both plaintiff and defense cases. Responsibilities Oversee both plaintiff and defense cases in business litigation Handle discovery process, depositions, and motion practice efficiently Work independently and collaboratively within a team Utilize and update billing software for attorneys regularly Comply with commercial law and commercial litigation practices Manage complex commercial litigation cases Respond to discovery requests and draft motions Argue motions and participate in jury trials when required Utilize communication skills to interact with clients and team members Stay updated with the latest developments in business and commercial law Demonstrate a strong work ethic and meticulousness in all tasks. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in using billing software specifically designed for attorneys. Must be a licensed attorney in the respective state or jurisdiction. Demonstrated experience as a litigation attorney. In-depth understanding of commercial law and commercial litigation. Experience in complex commercial litigation is highly desirable. Proficiency in business and commercial law. Should have a solid understanding of the discovery process, including discovery requests and responses. Must have experience in drafting and arguing motions. Experience in conducting jury trials. Must have experience in litigation from the plaintiff's perspective. Defense litigation experience is also required.
