We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Construction Materials Testing Technician will be responsible for performing various tests on construction materials, including soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate, to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction materials, testing procedures, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. We are willing to train, as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field and laboratory tests on construction materials (soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate) according to established procedures and standards.
Collect, document, and analyze test data to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Prepare detailed reports summarizing test results and findings.
Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and clients regarding test results and any potential issues.
Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Follow safety protocols and industry best practices at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in construction technology or a related field preferred.
Certification in construction materials testing (e.g., ACI, NICET) is desirable, but not required
Experience in construction materials testing or a related field is preferred.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and on active construction sites.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
