Individual is responsible for supporting the Buyer in all aspects of developing, communicating, and executing the strategic business plans inside the Consumables and Houseware department. The individual will learn the buying and related processes. The position is designed to help prepare an individual for a Buyer position. Position reports to a Buyer(s). Qualifications: negotiation, analytical, and problem solving skills, self-starter and able to work independently, good communication skills (support departments, stores, vendors), computer skills using Microsoft Office applications, store operations or relevant management experience, motivated to improve company results, and a team player in a fast paced environment. Travel required.
