Company DescriptionJob DescriptionHow You’ll Make an ImpactUtilizing your production/warehouse/logistics experience and skillset, you will be responsible for managing the preparation and delivery of a large volume of concurrent direct mail projects at a dynamic marketing company within the Print/Production environment. You will coordinate the work of the department and outside vendors to successfully execute these projects while ensuring that client delivery expectations are met.

You must have strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment and manage the delivery of direct mail projects.

Some key responsibilities include:

Ensuring the accuracy of inventory, material staging and timely delivery of direct mail to the USPS through third part suppliers via co-mingle and destination entry

Keeping track of reporting and records for your team and the department which includes maintaining inventory levels, creating purchase orders, physical audits, and tracking training compliance requirements for your team

Supporting the development of new products, working to keep USPS specifications within client budgets, and offering up solutions to produce direct mail projects as efficient and cost effective as possible

Coordinating with other departments to understand their and working together to meet schedules and delivery of projects on time

What You’ll Achieve

Continuous improvement and optimal production ensuring that materials are staged at printing and finishing equipment, tracked and moved within the facility in an efficient manner.

Ensure that all direct mail is prepared in accordance with USPS regulations and that pallets are staged and coordinated with third logistics companies.

Management & reporting of all roll paper inventory and components (inserts, envelopes, etc.)

Who You Are

For this role you will need:

Knowledge of the direct mail print production processes, inventory management workflow and logistics/transportation.

Knowledge of postal regulations, specifications, and requirements, and have a full understanding of postal logistics and consolidation methods

Excellent communication and negotiating skills

Able to build relationships and work across multiple departments

Strong analytics and computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)

Able to solve complex logistics and inventory problems and issues and recognize

7-10 years of experience managing logistics/warehouse teams within a direct mail production or other related environment

It would be great if you also have:

Knowledge of SAP, Print Stream and/or other inventory management software
