This role collaborates with the Engagement Solutions leadership team to drive IT strategy and development, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives while delivering measurable value.Key responsibilities include building and maintaining a high-performing organization that champions change and fosters partnerships with business leaders, vendors, and customers. The VP advises leadership on technology direction, products, and services, and leads the implementation of IT product initiatives for Engagement Solutions.This role will operate in a hybrid capacity, onsite in our Fenton, MO campus.40% - Technology StrategyWork with cross-functional teams to create technology strategies, roadmaps, and customer-centric perspectives across the entire customer journey - from acquisition through experience and into retention. Collaborate with teams to develop strategies, infusing insights into technology solutions that inspire marketing, loyalty, and incentive innovations. Stay ahead of market trends, translate ideas and thinking into strategic planning to maintain a competitive edge. Proactively seek out new technologies or integrations to expand business opportunities. Communicate technological advancements to internal teams and clients, ensuring alignment with core business objectives. Focus on building client/product technical strategy and roadmap.30% - LeadershipFacilitate agile practices, drive process efficiencies, embed agile values, and promote talent development and reskilling for the team. Manage the budget for multiple development teams and projects. Lead a team of 35+ staff, including directors and managers. Drive successful project outcomes by managing timelines, resources, and scope, ensuring projects meet their objectives within established constraints. Motivate staff around the long-term vision and strategy for the IT function. Foster an IT culture that designs and delivers transformational solutions for stakeholders.Provide ongoing guidance, mentoring, and feedback to staff to ensure performance.30% - Internal & Client InteractionsEngage directly with Engagement Solutions teams including operations, rewards, product, creative, decision science, and senior management, ensuring effective communication across all areas. Internal focus:

Operations with client enhancements and new program features.

Rewards with ecommerce initiatives (catalog, order entry, order processing, order fulfillment).

Product with roadmap and platform capabilities.

Creative with user experience and communication strategies (promotions).

Decision Sciences with data, metrics, and insights.

Client focus:

Provide strategic consulting to clients.

Demonstrate industry expertise and thought leadership.

Provide IT-related solutions/updates and participate in client business reviews.

Consult as a subject matter expert, drive capability presentations, and articulate Maritz’ value proposition to clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field required or equivalent experience.

10+ years of IT experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with leadership presence.

Ability to develop a vision and create strategic plans that align with vision.

Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.

Supervisory experience with ability to lead a diverse work force and influence people outside of direct line of reporting.

Experience directing software development teams and managers required.

Advanced knowledge of best-in-class technical tools, techniques, and processes.

Solid understanding of IT technologies and project management tools (including Agile development).

Customer-facing experience.

Actively contributes during internal strategy meetings and external client meetings.

Ability to provide thought leadership in the technology space. Combines technology with various aspects of marketing and loyalty solutions.

Experience in marketing services, incentives, loyalty, ecommerce, and/or pharma considered a plus.
